Water Research Commission (WRC)

RealTech developed a comprehensive intranet application for Pretoria-based Water Research Commision. The WRC serves as the South Africa's water-centred knowledge ‘hub’  leading the creation, dissemination and application of water-centred knowledge, focusing on  water resource management, water-linked ecosystems, water use and waste management and water utilisation in agriculture.

African Centre for Biosafety (ACB)

RealTech designed a web portal for the African Centre for Biosafety; the brief was to implement an advanced electronic platform to enable posting of authorative and current information, research and policy analysis on issues pertaining to genetic engineering, biosafety and biopiracy in Africa.

Youth Development Network

The Youth Development Network's new web portal is powered by RealTech - it was developed in consultation with stakeholders and provides a content management system for this national network of South African youth development organisations.

South African Arts Exchange

RealTech developed an interactive web portal for the South African Arts Exchange and has been managing it since 2002. Based on advanced ASP technology, the web portal functions as an electronic platform for international and local artistes to network and schedule performances, including the prestigous Urban Voices arts festival which is held annually.

Junior Achievement South Africa

RealTech conducted a technology planning intervention leading to the developing of a comprehensive web site for Junior Achievement South Africa (JASA), which was followed by user administration training for JASA staff. The project entailed moving their domain and rebuilding the entire site using an open source content management system.

SBI-Miles & Associates

RealTech was commisioned to develop the website of this international motivational firm. Targetted at the youth, the site had to be trendy, eye-catching and educational. The site was built using advanced JavaScripting and features a suspended animated menu which makes it navigation easy.

ICTs for Rural Africa

The brief was to develop an attractive site with a user friendly content management system. RealTech developed a technology plan and implemented this site in a record two weeks. The site features threaded and searchable discussion forums, user registration, chat rooms and role-based access to content.

The Es'kia Institute

RealTech built an eCommerce portal for the Es'kia Institute. Powered by Virtue Mart, the portal features a user friendly navigational systems and an easy to use shopping cart with the option to do credit card transactions. The portal back-end also features a comprehensive newsletter application, which allows the Institute to do regular HTML mailings to their subscriber base right from the portal.
